Overview
Mardi Himal Trek is always a good idea for your vacation in Nepal because it leaves you speechless, then turns you into a storyteller. Mardi Himal Trekking is a short and easy trek in Annapurna Region which has gained popularity recently. It is located to the east of one of the already popular trekking destinations of Nepal, the Annapurna base camp. This short trek route is no less and provides with all the spectacular view of nature. The trail stretches through the winding paths, beautiful rhododendron forests and through rocky to snow-clad mountains. The undulated trail is a challenge of worth, for it rewards you with the heavenly gratitude of nature through its mesmerizing and dramatic view of landscapes. Also, there is the equal contribution of the friendly locals to make your journey as much fun and as memorable as possible.
Throughout the trail, there are many rest houses and appreciative homestay services. You can enjoy your tea and rest under the scenic view of the gorgeous, gigantic Machapuchhare (also known as ‘Fish Tail’) soaring through the sky in the flat land of the low camp. But the most prominent feature of Mardi Base Camp Trek begins at the High Camp (3580m) from where you can view the entire Annapurna range in a panorama setting. It is also considered the best viewpoint to watch both the sunset and sunrise. From here, a hike for about 2-3 hours up the steep mountain, you arrive at the first viewpoint of Mardi Himal base camp from where you can get an excellent view of the Mardi Himal, Annapurna (South), Himchuli and Machapuchhare. Mardi Himal trek is special, as, further to the upper viewpoint, you can also get the glimpse of the same peaks as seen from the Annapurna Base Camp. It does not end here; just about 200m upward, an estimated 1-hour climb while saving your nose through the steep rocky mountain, is the destined Mardi Himal Basecamp. All above the high rising mountains and floating clouds, it wouldn’t be wrong to feel like the conqueror up there.
After you fill your soul with the tranquility of the place, the journey continues downhill. Descending from the calm and silent atmosphere of the mountains to the lively villages gives you the feeling of coming back to reality. Nevertheless, moments are still captured as you mingle with the locals in the countryside and get traditional. You will get the epiphany that the adventurous journey has suddenly turned into a cultural insight tour as you get into their groove. Furthermore, nature continues to entice you with all the scenic beauty of the valleys, waterfalls and unending mountain ranges. The different perspective of trekking i.e, Mardi Himal Yoga and Meditation Trekking is also organized by Himalayan Monk Treks and Tours.
