Overview
Annapurna Base Camp Trek (ABC Trek) is an evergreen trail that is widely popular among trekkers whether traveling in a group or as a solo. Mt. Annapurna (8091m) has secured its place as the 10th highest mountain peak among all the mountains in the world. Despite its popularity among trekkers and hikers that causes crowds up in the mountains, the trail has been able to maintain its natural state of beauty with the scenic vista of the mountain like Khoramukh, elegant waterfalls, and traditional villages inhabited by people from the Gurung ethnicity. This easy ABC trekking package of 8 days is made to cover the complete charm of nature & no physical pain in the body. 8 Days Abc trek is enough time to acclimatize to avoid the risk of altitude sickness at higher altitudes. The trek only demands moderate physical fitness. Himalayan Monk Treks offers much trekking in Annapurna Region like Mardi Himal Trek, Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek, Round Annapurna Trek, Royal Trek, Dhampus Village Trek including Annapurna Base Camp Trek.
The trek to an Annapurna Base Camp, like most of the trek in the Western region, begins from Pokhara. While traveling and trekking in the Annapurna region you will come across rejuvenating rivers, widespread jungles, and gorgeous waterfalls. You can come across hot springs and rest your tired body in the natural saunas. You can spot deer and many kinds of wild animals as well as varieties of birds. It is said there are more than 40 species of birds that you can spot while traveling through this trail. Then with the gradual rise in the altitude, while trekking towards the Annapurna Base Camp, you can also find yaks, the Himalayan ships of Nepal. Moreover, if the wild animals and birds don’t mesmerize you then the scenes of the magnificent snow-capped mountain ranges and the traditional Nepali villages blended with nature along with farmers working in the paddy rice field below the gorgeous Annapurna Mountain will surely take your breath away.
The Annapurna Base Camp trek route is ideal during the spring season as you are welcomed by nature with path decorated with red, pink and white flowering bushes. Emerging from the lush green forest onto the barren snowy lands, you can find yourself taken aback by the humongous mountains. In this trek, you can find mountain ranges such as Dhaulagiri, Annapurna, and Machhapuchhare. As you enter the Annapurna sanctuary, you can get the majestic view of the South face of Annapurna towering above you along with other mountain ranges creating a dynamic panoramic view. You can also get the opportunity to inspect the years or even decades old glaciers up in the snowy mountains. It is the standout point of the Annapurna Base camp trek that it provides all: from the panoramic view of the snowy mountain ranges, villages basking in the sun, rich oak and pine forests topped by beautiful rhododendron forests.ABC Trek is always a good idea for your vacation in Nepal because it leaves you speechless, then turns you into a storyteller.

Accomodation
You will stay in a three-star hotel in Kathmandu and Pokhara as per B/B. The rooms are clean, spacious and simple with comfortable beds, along with attached bathrooms with hot water supply. The rooms are usually double bed rooms, but it can be supplemented with single rooms with additional fees. The hotels have in-house restaurant bars as well as spas. The restaurants provide popular courses over the world and also delicious local cuisines.
Accommodation during the Annapurna Base Camp Trek includes lodging in guest houses or tea houses with basic furnished rooms and attached bathroom. Many lodges have the modern type sitting toilets attached with the room, but as we get further, the lodges get more basic with the only bed and a side table in the room and squat-type toilets, mostly common toilets, located outside the rooms. Hot water supply also depends on the location of the lodge/guest house. Most of the bathrooms have solar powered running hot water. We would discourage the use of hot water boiled over the fire woods that could cause some environmental concerns.
Meals
Meals, while you are in Kathmandu, include only breakfast. It depends on you whether you want to eat in the hotel or outside the hotel, all on your cost, and you choose where to eat and what to eat. Food in the city is not much to worry about as you will find every type of cuisine, form authentic Nepali to international dishes (continental, Italian, Tibetan, Indian, etc) around every corner of the city. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner will be on the basis of B/B in the city while it is included in the package during the trek.
A traditional meal outside Kathmandu is the favorite Dal-bhat, cooked rice with lentil soup, along with freshly cooked vegetables and pickles. You can have other dishes as per the menu of the hotel or lodge. Some lodges and guest houses have a lavish menu with new dishes to try including some western type food like pizza, chips and pasta. Every tea house along the trek route serve you with refreshing Nepali milk tea, that you can alternate it with black tea, lemon tea or a more traditional type of tea made with ghee and salt along with snacks.
Travel season
Trek in the Annapurna region is best during spring and autumn season. The spring (March-May) is a warm period of the year with blossoming flowers, and more birds and animals available to spot during the trek. This is the season to view the glorious rhododendron forest in its full bloom. Autumn (September to mid-December) is also a good season as the weather is neither hot nor cold. There is a chill in the air with clear Himalayan mountain ranges, making the trek a pleasant and astounding walk through the mountains.
It is reasonable to not trek in the Himalayas during the winter as Himalayan Mountains experience heavy snowfalls during the winter seasons. It is also not advisable to trek during summer and monsoon season, but trekking during summer could be a boon to many botanists.
